Bill "Bootstrap" Turner was kind enough to let us use his image taken in March of the launch of space shuttle Discovery.

Bill is very well known for his rather unique style of post processing which actually has been dubbed "bootstrapping". That style is not apparent in the Discovery photo, but you can see it in the his other POTD images here
