I have had one or two people ask me if I could display photos at 1280x1024.  It would take a little longer to download at that size, but images would look cleaner if you have a 1280 or higher resolution screen.

What do you think?

I performed a download from the gallery.  Even with my lame dialup connection the speed was not bad at all.  I suppose that might change someday in the future with heavier traffic.  But for now, I really don't see any problem with bumping the rez up.  Go fer it.

As for the forum layout, I would like to see less height for each post.  This seems to be set by all the junk going into the header column in the left margin of the post.  Not sure what would be the best way to shrink that.

the 800x600 can be a problem!  I think you are in the last 3 or 4% still in that resolution.
How does today's boating  image at 1200+pixels load on that?

I have to scroll up and down a bit.  But not enough to be objectionable.  Do not understand the Top Boating Sites box flashing underneath however???

The Top 100 flashing counter is a group I signed up with that tracks hits on various boating sites.

The nice thing is that if you click on it you see the 100 sites and I get some hits from that from folks who were at the other ones.

Let's see . . . . how can I put this in the gentlest possible way . . . . I think that list is a crock!  Grin

Anyways, kinda annoying to have it located right next to the nice photo being featured.

OK, I'll move it out of the way.

The list is correct, as long as you interpret it as the top 100 sites that display the top100 site logo, if you know what I mean...

I don't think most people contemplate it much.
